Dear students,
- Management is aware of the student protest on the payment of NSFAS allowances by Tenetech.
- Management does not have the answers to this nationwide challenge affecting all 50 TVET Colleges as well as universities as negotiations with all the relevant stakeholders are currently underway. The shutting down of the college therefore does not help the situation.
- We therefore call on the SRC and the student community to refrain from the shutdown and return to classes while the engagement with all service providers including Tenetech continue, under DHET’s leadership.
- Management has requested a meeting with the SRC and feedback in this regard will be provided as soon as it is possible.
