The Human Resource Officer is accountable for policies and practices that deal with the recruitment and selection of employees. In addition, HR officers manage the training and development of staff, and ensure that performance and productivity are maintained and improved. HR officers are responsible for creating good relationships between managers and employees.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1.1. Any of the following NV (V) L4 Certificates:
Education and Development
Finance, Economics and Accounting
Information Technology
Management
Marketing
Office Administration
1.2. Equivalent NQF Level 4 occupational qualification; or an
1.3 APS score of 24, using double the English the four (4) next best subjects of NSC.
COURSE DURATION
How long will it take to complete the qualification?
6 months per level full-time (3 semesters to complete up to N6 level)
18 months practical experience
Enrolment in January and July

The successful Human Resources Manager must have people skills, including tact, patience, understanding and persuasiveness, Communications skills aare important for interviewing, discussions with staff, negotiations and raining. Human Resources officers should also have good writing skills in order to compile accurate reports.
