CJC Student Secures National Recognition for Entrepreneurial Excellence

Central Johannesburg TVET College (CJC) has achieved a significant milestone through the success of Lindiwe Molebatsi, an N6 part-time Marketing student at the Parktown Campus, who emerged as the winner in the General Business Category at the Entrepreneurship Inter-College National Finals.

Her victory marks a historic first for the college, as she became the first CJC student to reach and compete at this national level. She faced seven competitors in the final round, demonstrating the dedication, innovation and business acumen required to succeed in a competitive entrepreneurial environment.

Molebatsi’s achievement follows months of preparation and participation in successive stages of the competition, from the initial inter-college rounds to the regional level and, ultimately, the national finals. Throughout this process, she presented her business concept to industry experts, competing for financial rewards, mentorship and resources to support business development.

The college has also recognised the contribution of her mentor, Ms Khosi Usman of Riverlea Campus, Riverlea Campus Manager Mrs Joyce Makofane, and other staff members who provided guidance and encouragement throughout her preparation. Their support reflects CJC’s commitment to nurturing student talent and creating an environment in which aspiring entrepreneurs can develop their ideas and pursue business opportunities.

Molebatsi’s accomplishment highlights the role of technical and vocational education in fostering entrepreneurship, innovation and economic participation among young people. Her success also demonstrates how effective mentorship and institutional support can help students translate their business ideas into meaningful opportunities.

CJC congratulates Molebatsi and everyone who contributed to this achievement, celebrating a milestone that brings pride to the institution and encourages other students to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions with confidence and determination.
